Police Commissioner Grant Stevens confirmed the situation, stating that while the specifics of the threats cannot be disclosed, they are indeed taken seriously. Parents were informed that these security measures have been in place since the start of the school year, with undercover officers monitoring hallways and the school’s perimeter.
The education department released a statement assuring that the situation is being closely monitored and prioritising the safety of both staff and students. Glenunga International is recognised as South Australia’s largest and highest-performing public school, accommodating over 2,000 students.
