Ukraine is currently facing a relentless onslaught of ballistic missile and drone strikes from Russia, resulting in injuries to at least three individuals, according to local officials.

In the capital city of Kyiv, numerous explosions echoed through the streets, with debris falling and igniting fires across multiple districts. Tymur Tkachenko, the head of the Kyiv City Administration, noted the efforts of air defence systems that worked tirelessly to intercept the incoming threats.

Tkachenko reported that three people sustained injuries in the attacks. Residents have been advised to find shelter to ensure their safety. He expressed gratitude for the diligence of the air defence crews, emphasizing the importance of community safety: “Our air defence crews are doing everything possible. But we must protect one another — stay safe,” he wrote on Telegram.

Reports indicate that various districts have suffered damage and that rescue teams are actively responding across multiple sites. In the northern region of Chernihiv, an attack involving a Shahed drone led to an explosion near an apartment complex that shattered windows and damaged doors. Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, the head of regional military administration, confirmed that there were also observations of ballistic missile explosions on the outskirts of the city.

The escalating conflict continues to threaten the lives and safety of Ukrainian citizens as officials work to respond to the immediate effects of these attacks.
