British YouTuber and musician Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, is contesting serious allegations of rape and assault against a woman in her 20s. The claims against the 29-year-old revolve around an incident that reportedly took place in a hotel room following one of his performances in Perth’s northern suburbs last September.
Filly appeared at the Perth Magistrates Court and has pleaded not guilty to four charges related to sexual penetration without consent, along with three counts of bodily harm. He also rejected accusations that he obstructed the woman’s ability to breathe by applying pressure to her neck. Currently out on bail and governed by strict conditions, he was extradited to Perth from Brisbane after his arrest in October.
Having amassed a substantial following, with 1.8 million YouTube subscribers alongside a significant presence on Instagram and TikTok, Barrientos has been active in the entertainment industry since launching his YouTube career in 2013 and his music career in 2017. He has featured on numerous television shows, including hosting the BBC series “Hot Property” in 2018.
In a separate legal matter, Yung Filly previously faced consequences for reckless driving, having been fined and banned from driving for six months in November, while already on bail. He is slated to return to the Perth District Court for a trial listing hearing scheduled for June 13.
