Authorities are on the lookout for two teenagers in connection with a violent incident involving a stabbing and an assault that occurred yesterday.

The first event took place around 4:55 PM in a chemist located in a shopping centre on Cheltenham Road, Keysborough. Two young boys reportedly attacked a 70-year-old man who attempted to prevent them from leaving the store with items believed to have been stolen. As a result of the confrontation, the elderly man sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital.

Later the same evening, at approximately 7:15 PM, the same duo is believed to have approached a 16-year-old boy who was waiting at a bus stop on Centre Dandenong Road in Dingley Village. In what police have described as an “unprovoked attack,” the teenager was stabbed. He was also assaulted as he attempted to escape the situation and was subsequently taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Despite immediate police efforts to locate the assailants, the boys fled the scene and remain at large. Authorities are urging anyone who may have information or who witnessed either of these incidents to come forward and assist police with their investigation.
