Two 15-year-old boys have been charged following a reported home invasion and stabbing incident in Marrickville, located in Sydney’s inner west. The episode unfolded around 5pm yesterday when the boys, along with six accomplices, allegedly entered a residence on Frazer Street while wearing masks. During the invasion, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and provided treatment to the injured teenager, who was subsequently transported to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.
After the group reportedly fled the scene, police established a crime scene and managed to apprehend the two boys nearby. They now face several charges, including trespass, affray, and involvement in a criminal group, with one also facing a charge related to possession of a knife.
The duo has been granted conditional bail and is set to appear in a children’s court next month. Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing as police continue to search for the remaining six suspects believed to be involved in the incident.
