Two students from St Edmund’s College have been hospitalised following an incident in Canberra where they were struck by a vehicle this morning. Reports indicate that a green Holden Commodore station wagon, which is believed to have been stolen, collided with the students as they were near their school on Canberra Avenue in Griffith.

The injured students were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The vehicle continued its journey after the collision, crashing into additional cars before finally coming to a halt near the Manuka shops. The driver of the Holden has also been hospitalised and is currently under police supervision.

In response to the accident, authorities have closed off sections of the road to facilitate an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the green Holden Commodore with Victorian plates ZAK 017 or anyone who may possess video footage of the event to come forward and assist in their inquiries.
