Tragedy struck in Toowoomba, Queensland, where a house fire has led to the deaths of three children. Emergency services responded to the blaze at a Harristown residence around 12:30 am yesterday. Firefighters successfully extinguished the flames, but the incident left devastating consequences.

Among the casualties, the body of a nine-year-old boy was located inside the home, although formal identification is pending. Tragically, two girls, aged four and seven, succumbed to their injuries later that evening in hospital.

A 36-year-old woman, who is currently under police guard, remains in critical condition. Meanwhile, a 34-year-old man, along with an 18-year-old and an 11-year-old boy, managed to escape the fire unharmed.

Authorities are treating the incident as suspicious, and the house remains cordoned off as a crime scene. Fortunately, police have indicated that they are not actively searching for additional suspects linked to the case.
