A tragic incident occurred late last night when a vehicle is thought to have plummeted off Droneys Bridge Road into the Richmond River at Fairy Hill, located north of Casino. The crash reportedly took place around 10pm.

Fortunately, a 22-year-old female passenger was able to escape from the wreck unscathed. However, search and recovery efforts are currently underway to retrieve the submerged vehicle, as it is believed the bodies of two men are still inside.

In light of the situation, authorities have implemented road closures in the area, advising motorists to steer clear of the vicinity to ensure safety and facilitate the recovery operation.
