In Jakarta, local authorities reported the arrest of one individual while another was intercepted en route to the city. This follows the tragic shooting of 32-year-old Zivan “Stipe” Radmanovic from Melbourne, who was gunned down shortly after midnight on Saturday, prompting a nationwide manhunt across Indonesia.

The incident also left 34-year-old Sanar Ghanim injured; he sustained gunshot wounds and was assaulted during the attack. Ghanim, who is known as the former partner of Danielle Stephens, the stepdaughter of slain underworld figure Carl Williams, was discharged from hospital and relocated to a new apartment in Canggu.

While Radmanovic died at the scene, reportedly hit by four bullets, his wife sought refuge under the bed covers in a nearby room during the chaos. Medical professionals are currently awaiting approval from Radmanovic’s family to carry out an autopsy.

Witnesses indicated that the assailants spoke English with an Australian accent and fled the scene quickly, thus raising suspicions regarding their identities and motives. Authorities believe that the gunmen might have escaped Bali and remained within Indonesia.

The police are treating Radmanovic’s death as an organized crime hit, with the potential for severe penalties, including the death penalty, for those arrested in connection with this case in Indonesia.
