Three individuals have been apprehended in connection with a series of burglaries targeting RSL clubs across Melbourne. Police allege that the group stole cash, personal items, and keys from venues in Watsonia, Box Hill, Brunswick, Pascoe Vale, Fawkner, and Greensborough during the early hours between January 11 and February 3.
The suspects are also accused of tampering with security systems at specific clubs to facilitate their access. Following investigations, detectives executed search warrants in Prahran and Brunswick West on Friday, resulting in the arrests and the seizure of a vehicle.
The accused are a 38-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman from Brunswick West, along with a 33-year-old woman from Prahran. They face multiple charges, including five counts of burglary, attempted burglary, and possession of methylamphetamine. They have been granted bail and are scheduled to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on April 28.
