A 76-year-old tourist is currently in critical condition after an incident involving his own caravan at a service station in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. The event occurred around 10:45 AM yesterday, when the man parked his Isuzu D-Max utility vehicle and attached white caravan at a service station located on the remote Great Northern Highway in Halls Creek.

While he was inspecting his caravan, it is alleged that a thief entered the utility and drove off, accidentally striking the owner in the process. As a result of the collision, the man sustained life-threatening injuries and had to be airlifted by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to the Royal Darwin Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The caravan and utility vehicle, which bear South Australian registration plates, remain unaccounted for. Authorities are actively seeking witnesses to assist with the investigation.
