The Wests Tigers are currently looking into a disturbing incident that occurred during their match against the Rabbitohs, which resulted in two individuals facing assault charges and multiple injuries requiring hospitalisation.

According to police reports, at approximately 7:50 PM on a Sunday at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, a violent confrontation erupted between rival fans in the stands. Responding officers were also attacked, with one officer punched in the head and another hit in the face.

Two men sustained injuries during the chaos. One was taken to Liverpool Hospital with suspected concussion, while the other was treated for facial injuries at Campbelltown Hospital. Following the incident, four patrons were removed from the stadium premises.

A 30-year-old man has been charged with affray, two counts of assaulting police, and resisting arrest. He has been granted conditional bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court on June 12, 2025. Additionally, a 28-year-old man was arrested for common assault and is expected to receive a court attendance notice.

The Wests Tigers have initiated their own investigation into the matter and have pledged to take appropriate action. In a public statement, the club expressed their disapproval of such behaviour, confirming it will not be tolerated. They also extended their apologies to all affected individuals, including the police officers and anyone injured during the incident.
