In a tragic incident from Washington State, three young sisters—a nine-year-old named Paityn, eight-year-old Evelyn, and five-year-old Olivia Decker—have been found deceased. Their bodies were located near the Rock Island Campground, close to Leavenworth, on a Monday after they were reported missing by their mother on the evening of Friday, May 30. The girls were last seen with their father, Travis Decker, during a scheduled visit.
Authorities, including the Wenatchee Police Department, have issued a Missing Person Alert following the girls’ disappearance. It is believed that their father, who is currently at the centre of the investigation, has fled and is wanted for charges of first-degree murder and kidnapping. Initial reports indicate that Travis Decker, 32, was living out of a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck, which was found abandoned near the site where the girls’ bodies were discovered.
Travis Decker is described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 190 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. When last seen, he was reportedly dressed in a light-coloured shirt and dark shorts. Investigators cannot confirm whether he is armed, but they note that he is a military veteran with substantial training.
The investigation is ongoing, and the police are urging anyone with information regarding Decker’s whereabouts or the case to contact authorities immediately. This distressing situation has left the local community in shock as it mourns the loss of these young lives.
