An enjoyable Easter Sunday outing on the water quickly turned into a rescue operation near Russell Island, Queensland, after a dangerous collision occurred in Moreton Bay. The incident took place just before 2pm when a powerboat and a jet ski collided, leaving three adults injured.
Emergency services promptly transported the injured individuals to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital. Among them, one man sustained potentially life-threatening chest injuries, while another woman, who also experienced chest injuries, was reported to be in a stable condition. A third male victim was stable but suffered from neck pain.
