A house fire in Glebe, Sydney, has left three individuals injured. Emergency services received reports of smoke coming from a residence on St John’s Road around 4.30pm and quickly dispatched firefighters to the scene.
Footage captured showed a woman attempting to flee through a window as flames engulfed the front of the house. Bystanders gathered outside, with one man seen dousing the flames with a hose and calling for assistance. Fortunately, firefighters arrived promptly, extinguished the fire, and aided the woman in exiting the building safely.
Three people were later taken to hospital for evaluation due to smoke inhalation and potential burns. Among them, a 48-year-old woman suffered superficial burns, including injuries to her airways. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
