Three individuals have been charged following an incident at a Melbourne restaurant last Friday. A group of approximately 20 pro-Palestine demonstrators reportedly gathered outside Miznon restaurant on Hardware Lane around 8:15 PM. Among the group, some allegedly initiated a violent confrontation, resulting in chairs being hurled and damage to the restaurant’s glass door.
In response to the disturbance, police executed search warrants across locations in Essendon, Footscray, and Richmond the following morning, leading to the arrest of three suspects. Each was charged with multiple offences, including assault, affray, riotous behaviour, and criminal damage.
A 50-year-old male from Richmond appeared in court shortly after his arrest, while a 48-year-old female from Footscray and a 28-year-old female from Essendon were granted bail to return to court on September 25.
