Three teenagers have been charged with murder and armed robbery following the fatal stabbing of a man in south-east Melbourne earlier this month. The victim, 24-year-old Timothy Leek, was discovered at Marriott Waters Shopping Centre in Lyndhurst with severe stab wounds after an altercation with a group of individuals around 8:30 pm on March 14. Despite being rushed to hospital, Leek succumbed to his injuries.

In the early hours of the morning, two 18-year-old men from Seaford and Cranbourne North were apprehended at a hotel in Box Hill. A 17-year-old boy from the southeastern suburbs was subsequently arrested in Dandenong. All three have been interrogated by authorities and face charges of both murder and armed robbery linked to Leek’s stabbing as well as a prior convenience store robbery in Boronia earlier that same day.

Investigators believe that Timothy Leek had prior acquaintance with his attackers. The two adult suspects are scheduled to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court, while the juvenile will be brought before a children’s court at a future date.
