On June 24, a violent confrontation outside the Westfield shopping centre on Carlisle Avenue in Mount Druitt resulted in two individuals, aged 17 and 22, being allegedly stabbed. The older victim, aged 22, suffered a serious stab wound to his back leading to a punctured lung, while the 17-year-old sustained slash injuries to his arm.

The incident reportedly began with a verbal dispute among a group of men. Although this initial exchange was separated, the groups encountered each other again roughly 15 minutes later in the car park outside Kmart. This led to a physical altercation, during which the 22-year-old was stabbed and sought refuge within the Kmart to alert staff for assistance.

Following the altercation, police apprehended two suspects, aged 18 and 20, who are currently facing charges in relation to the incident. An 18-year-old was arrested later that evening at a residence in Baulkham Hills and was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause bodily harm, as well as robbery in company. He has been denied bail and is scheduled to appear in Parramatta Local Court.

Fortunately, both victims managed to survive their injuries. The investigation into the events surrounding the altercation continues as authorities work to gather more details about the brawl that led to this disturbing incident in a public shopping area.
