Australia has secured the 10th position in the 2024 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), achieving a score of 77 out of 100. This index, which evaluates 180 countries and territories, reflects perceived levels of corruption within the public sector, with scores ranging from 0, indicating high corruption, to 100, suggesting a clean record.
Compiled by Transparency International, an international coalition dedicated to combating corruption across more than 100 countries, the CPI identifies Australia among the leading nations in terms of low corruption levels. Topping the list are Denmark, Finland, Singapore, New Zealand, Luxembourg, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, Netherlands, and Australia itself.
