Two teenagers were hospitalised following a stabbing incident that occurred during a family gathering in Sydney. The event at The Sapphire function centre on Station Road in Auburn was interrupted around 10.15pm by a group of five young males who allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old guest. According to reports, the assault culminated in one of the intruders stabbing the teenager in the leg.

Emergency services attended to the victim, who was subsequently transported to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition. Shortly thereafter, an 18-year-old male arrived at the same hospital suffering from stab wounds to his lower body, indicating he was likely also present at the family event.

Authorities are actively pursuing the five suspects, believed to have connections to the two victims. In light of the incident, police are appealing for anyone with relevant information to reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
