Two 15-year-olds—a boy from Baw Baw and a girl from the La Trobe region—have been arrested following a violent incident involving a 29-year-old woman at a petrol station in Dandenong, Melbourne. The alleged attack occurred on Sunday night when Crysta Healey, after filling her car with petrol at around 6:35 pm, was confronted by the group who demanded her keys. When she refused to comply, she was reportedly struck in the arm with a machete.
Detective Acting Sergeant Sam Douglas of Victoria Police condemned the assault as “low, dirty and cowardly.” The boy faces serious charges including attempted aggravated carjacking, causing intentional injury, vehicle theft, and weapon-related offences. He is expected to appear before a bail justice, with police seeking to have him remanded in custody. Meanwhile, the girl was interviewed and subsequently released.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to gather more information about the incident and the involved parties.
