Teenager apprehended and charged following alleged break-in at chemist on the Gold Coast

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested following a break-in at a chemist on the Gold Coast in the early hours of the morning. Police responded to reports of two individuals having smashed the front glass window of a business located on Cheltenham Drive in Robina.

The teenager was apprehended at 3:45 am, with officers discovering a quantity of allegedly stolen medication inside a white 2012 Lexus sedan parked outside the premises. Meanwhile, a second male suspect managed to escape from the scene on foot.

Further investigations revealed that the Lexus had been reported stolen from a residence on Grandview Street in Kuraby on June 6. The arrested boy, who hails from Mount Warren Park, is facing charges for entering a premises unlawfully and the unauthorised use of a motor vehicle. He was scheduled to appear at the Southport Children’s Court later that same day.
