In a recent incident in Tasmania, a 17-year-old male from Port Huon experienced quite an unusual sight: a bright yellow clamp affixed to his car’s steering wheel. This comes after he allegedly failed to stop for a police check during a routine patrol aimed at enhancing road safety on April 12.

According to the police, the teenager was driving a Ford Falcon when he circumvented the checkpoint on Arve Road near the Tahune Airwalk at approximately 2:15 PM. Following this evasion, the vehicle was tracked down and subsequently clamped for a period of 28 days, in accordance with Tasmania’s stringent vehicle seizure laws.

The young driver is now facing legal repercussions as he prepares to appear in court, being processed for traffic-related offences stemming from the incident.
