An 18-year-old man became the latest target in a spate of shootings, as he sat in a parked car on Tench Avenue in Jamisontown, near Penrith, late last night. The man sustained gunshot wounds to his legs and managed to drive himself to Nepean Hospital for treatment. Police received a call regarding the incident shortly after 11.30pm.
Medical personnel treated him for his injuries, which are reported to be non-life-threatening. This incident follows a shooting just three days prior, where a man in his twenties was shot while parked on Hickeys Lane in Penrith, also suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have stated they have not established a connection between the two events. The police urge anyone who may have information regarding the shooting to reach out to Crime Stoppers.
