Ariarne Titmus, Olympic swimmer, has expressed her heartfelt support for Dawn Fraser, who was recently hospitalised after a fall at her home in Queensland. Fraser, an 87-year-old swimming icon, has since moved out of intensive care and is reportedly on the mend, as confirmed by her daughter to 9News. Describing Fraser as a resilient individual, Titmus remarked on her strong character and the extensive support she is receiving during her recovery, adding, “Whatever is thrown her way, she’ll be able to come through it.”

Fraser’s family stated that she is determined to regain her mobility and remains an inspiring figure in the sporting world. Swimming Australia’s CEO, Rob Woodhouse, recognised Fraser as a “living treasure” and wished her a speedy recovery. Over her illustrious career, Fraser has won eight Olympic medals and set numerous records, solidifying her status as a legend in the sport.

Titmus highlighted Fraser’s enduring legacy, noting her influence on Australian swimming, and appreciated the encouragement she has received from Fraser over the years. Just months ago, Fraser was seen supporting the Australian swimming team as they prepared for the upcoming Olympics in Paris.
