Glen Rogers, a 62-year-old man previously considered a potential suspect in the OJ Simpson case, was executed via lethal injection at Florida State Prison. His death occurred at 6:16 PM local time after being convicted of the 1995 murder of Tina Marie Cribbs, a 34-year-old mother of two whom he had encountered at a bar.

Rogers had also received a separate death sentence for another murder committed in California, where he strangled another woman, Sandra Gallagher, just weeks before Cribbs’ murder. Authorities captured Rogers after a police pursuit in Kentucky while in possession of Cribbs’ vehicle shortly after her death.

In his final moments, Rogers expressed gratitude to his wife, hinted at future revelations by stating, “in the near future, your questions will be answered,” and asked former President Trump to “keep making America great.” He remained calm during the execution process.

Rogers was linked to other possible homicides throughout the United States, once infamously claiming to have killed approximately 70 people—though he later retracted that statement. His case was notably featured in documentaries, including one titled “My Brother the Serial Killer,” which explored whether he could be connected to the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. Investigators, however, concluded Rogers was not involved in those high-profile killings.

Originally from Hamilton, Ohio, Rogers earned nicknames like the “Casanova Killer” and “Cross Country Killer,” largely due to the profiles of some of his victims, who shared similar traits. Leading up to his execution, he had a final meal of pizza, chocolate, and soda, and had been denied several appeals by both state and federal courts. One argument presented by his legal team claimed his traumatic childhood experiences warranted a life sentence rather than execution; this request was dismissed.

Rogers became the fifth individual executed in Florida this year, with another convict, Anthony Wainwright, set for execution on June 10 for a 1994 kidnapping and murder case. The lethal injection procedure in Florida involves a three-drug cocktail designed to sedate, paralyse, and ultimately stop the heart.
