A devastated daughter is calling for justice following the tragic discovery of her mother, Eva Lasrini’s, body beside a freeway in Victoria. Lasrini’s daughters, Adeline and Vanya, anxiously awaited her arrival at Denpasar Airport last Wednesday, but when she failed to show, their concerns grew. Adeline described her frustration while searching for answers, saying, “I kept asking, ‘Mum, are you coming to Bali or not?’ but there was no response.”
Lasrini, who lived in Dandenong, was found deceased near the Princes Freeway in Little River, south-west of Melbourne, the following Saturday. Her ex-husband, Allan Keys, has been charged with her murder. The daughters had contacted Keys after their mother didn’t arrive in Bali, but he allegedly claimed to be overseas. Adeline recounted his response, saying he told them, “I don’t know where your mother is. I am in Kuta right now.”
In the days following Lasrini’s reported disappearance, social media posts from Keys showed him enjoying himself with another woman in Bali, which further raised suspicions. Authorities later apprehended the 67-year-old at Melbourne Airport as he attempted to board an international flight.
Eva Lasrini, aged 53, had recently gained her learner’s permit and was working at a local warehouse, striving to bring her daughters to Australia for their education. Adeline shared, “My mother was strong, beautiful, and devoted to her family.” Police have not yet disclosed the specifics surrounding her death, but they believe that the details will emerge when Keys appears in court again in August.
In response to this tragedy, a GoFundMe page has been established to assist Lasrini’s daughters in travelling to Melbourne. Adeline expressed her hopes, stating, “Maybe after that, I can take my mother home.” The family is determined to seek justice for Eva and find closure amid this heartbreaking situation.
