In Port Lincoln, an unsettling discovery has emerged during an ongoing investigation into the alleged murder of Julian Story. His partner, Tamika Chesser, a former contestant on Beauty and the Geek, is facing charges related to his death. The search took a grim turn yesterday when Tyson McCallum, while walking his dogs, found what is believed to be Story’s head, located by his dog, Benji the Beaglier.

McCallum recounted his shock upon the discovery, stating, "I made the connection pretty quickly as to what I thought it was," expressing disbelief at the eerie coincidence of the find. Police have indicated that the remains are likely those of Story, but forensic testing is required for confirmation. This identification is anticipated to offer closure to Story’s grieving family, who have endured considerable anguish throughout the investigation. McCallum noted, "To have it finalised will hopefully bring them some peace."

Chesser is currently before the courts, accused of murdering Story, allegedly beheading him and discarding his remains. Following the discovery, police and the State Emergency Service resumed searches in the reserve where the skull was found. Cadaver dogs were deployed in hopes of locating any further remains. Forensic officers have collected items from the site, transporting them to Adelaide for analysis.

Reflecting on the moment, McCallum also mentioned that Benji would be rewarded with extra treats for his pivotal role in the grim find.
