Police have confirmed the identification of two bodies recovered from the River Dee in north-east Scotland as sisters Eliza and Henrietta Huszt. The 32-year-old women were reported missing by their family in Aberdeen on January 7 and were located on January 31.
Preliminary investigations indicate that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding their deaths, but police are still working to determine the exact cause. The sisters were last spotted on January 7, walking along Market Street towards Victoria Bridge, and had visited the bridge the previous day.
Their family, originally from Hungary, expressed their grief and sought answers regarding the circumstances of their deaths, with their brother, Jozsef Huszti, planning to travel to Scotland. Aberdeen, where the sisters lived, is approximately 205km from Edinburgh, and the local community is mourning the loss of the sisters as inquiries continue.
