A serious three-car accident occurred early this morning on the M4 motorway in Lidcombe, Western Sydney, injuring multiple individuals. The incident took place around 2:30 am, leading to a significant disruption on the highway.

Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, where a 25-year-old woman driving a Kia Cerato was treated for minor injuries before being transported to Westmead Hospital for further analysis, including blood and urine testing. The crash caused the Kia to roll over as many as seven times, with debris scattered over a 300-metre area, according to police reports.

The 26-year-old male driver of a Toyota Yaris sustained injuries and was also taken to Westmead Hospital, while his 23-year-old female passenger was transported to Concord Hospital. Fortunately, both are reported to be in stable condition. In a separate vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, the driver and two passengers suffered minor injuries but did not require hospitalisation.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, particularly whether alcohol played a role in the incident.
