A 56-year-old sergeant with the NSW Police was discovered deceased at his residence in Bateau Bay around 6 am yesterday morning. Authorities have indicated that there are no immediate signs of foul play, and a formal report will be submitted to the coroner.
In addition to this, a critical incident investigation has been initiated. The NSW Police define a critical incident as an event involving an officer that leads to the death or serious injury of an individual.
