A former aide to Sean “Diddy” Combs, Capricorn Clark, has made explosive allegations during the hip-hop mogul’s sex trafficking trial in Manhattan. Clark testified that on her very first day working for Combs, he threatened her life and allegedly kidnapped her at gunpoint, claiming he was going to kill rapper Kid Cudi. Her statements shed light on the violent and aggressive conduct Combs allegedly employed to maintain control over those around him.
As a key witness, Clark, who held the position of global brand director at Bad Boy Entertainment, was called to support prosecutors’ assertions that Combs orchestrated a decades-long racketeering operation using intimidating bodyguards, threats of violence, and a culture of silence among his employees to enforce his desires. Combs has pleaded not guilty to various charges relating to his treatment of long-time girlfriend Cassie (real name Casandra Ventura) and others, facing possible sentences ranging from 15 years to life if convicted.
Her testimony followed Kid Cudi’s own revelations, wherein he explained that Clark had contacted him in December 2011 to inform him that Combs was so enraged over Cudi’s relationship with Cassie that he had abducted her. During her testimony, Clark, often referring to Combs as “Puff,” recounted a harrowing encounter where Combs arrived at her home with a gun, demanding she accompany him to confront Cudi with the intent to kill.
Clark explained that they drove in a black Cadillac Escalade to Cudi’s residence, while she relayed critical information to Cassie about the perilous situation. In a chilling exchange, she warned Cassie, “Stop him, he’s going to get himself killed,” as Combs became increasingly aggressive.
Upon returning to the vehicle, Combs’ threats intensified, with him instructing his associates to mislead Cudi about his involvement should violence ensue. Following this incident, Clark described a shocking scene in which she witnessed Combs brutally assault Cassie, delivering powerful kicks that left her crumpled on the ground in agony. Clark’s emotional distress was palpable as she recounted the grievous incident, asserting that neither she nor Combs’ bodyguard intervened.
Clark had also recounted her experiences working with Combs from 2004 to 2018, detailing the intimidation she faced regarding her previous employment with rival rappers. She recalled a terrifying incident where, after losing expensive jewellery given to her by Combs, she was subjected to multiple lie detector tests under duress, with threats suggesting dire consequences if she failed.
The disturbing nature of Clark’s testimony highlights the severe allegations surrounding Combs and has raised crucial legal questions as the trial unfolds.
