Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy S25 series in San Jose, California, marking the first significant smartphone launch of the year. These innovative models will be available in Australia from mid-February. The S25 series continues Samsung’s pioneering artificial intelligence features, first introduced with the Galaxy AI in the S24 series, allowing users to benefit from advanced functionalities. Nathan Rigger, head of product for mobile at Samsung Australia, noted that AI adoption in Australia has grown, with 70% of users engaging with Galaxy AI, simplifying daily tasks.

Powered by a tailored Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the S25 series promises over a 30% performance boost, particularly for AI applications. This generation introduces a new user-friendly interface, One UI 7, enhancing intuitive interactions with a “human-like AI agent” facilitated through Google’s Gemini technology. Functions include seamless command execution across apps and innovative AI select features for tasks like creating calendar events from highlighted text.

The S25 models exhibit a sleek design, lighter than their predecessors, with rounded corners that align more closely with the current S series aesthetic. Prices begin at $1399 for the S25, $1699 for the S25+, and $2149 for the S25 Ultra. Additionally, a quirky collaboration with Crocs will result in themed cases for the S25 line, merging footwear with technology style.
