A devastating drone strike in the northern Ukrainian city of Pryluky has resulted in the deaths of at least five individuals, including a one-year-old child, according to regional governor Viacheslav Chaus. This assault occurred shortly after a conversation between former U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which Trump disclosed that Putin indicated a strong intention to retaliate against Ukraine for recent drone incursions targeting Russian military airfields.
Alongside the fatalities, six others were wounded and have since been hospitalised. Chaus reported that the attack was executed using six Shahed-type drones, which struck residential districts, inflicting significant damage on buildings.
In a separate incident in Kharkiv, a fresh Russian drone attack resulted in injuries to seventeen people, including children and a pregnant woman, as well as a 93-year-old female victim. Regional chief Oleh Syniehubov shared updates via Telegram, stating that around 1.05 am local time, drones targeted two apartment complexes in the Slobidskyi district, igniting fires and destroying several cars. Syniehubov condemned the enemy’s tactics as cowardly terror, as the assaults occurred while civilians were asleep in their homes.
