Ronaldo Mulitalo has quashed speculation regarding his NRL career by securing a three-year contract extension with the Cronulla Sharks, keeping him with the club until 2028. After initially being unsigned past 2025, Mulitalo, who has been with the Sharks since his teenage years, solidified his position as one of the premier outside backs in the league.
Expressing his gratitude, Mulitalo shared, “For me and my family it’s massive. I hope to finish my career as a Sharkie forever.” He highlighted the profound impact the club has had on his life, mentioning he was able to buy his mother a house through his success at Cronulla.
With 83 tries in 110 appearances, Mulitalo is on track to become the club’s all-time leading scorer, just behind Andrew Ettinghausen. His contributions extend beyond the field; he has also made a name for himself internationally, representing New Zealand eight times.
Sharks general manager Darren Mooney commended Mulitalo’s commitment and infectious enthusiasm, recognising his significant role in the team’s dynamic and community involvement. “We’re fortunate to have him here long term,” Mooney stated, reflecting the club’s appreciation for the talented winger’s dedication both on and off the field.
