A significant cleanup operation is currently taking place in western Sydney after a large spill of three tonnes of crushed glass occurred on Mamre Road at Orchard Hill. Spanning a distance of 300 metres, the glass debris resulted in the temporary closure of the road between Erskine Park Road and Luddenham Road. Fortunately, the road has since been reopened, allowing traffic to resume.
Cleanup crews and machinery have been deployed to clear the shattered glass, which caused delays for motorists in the vicinity. While the precise cause of the glass spill remains under investigation, the scene has attracted considerable attention due to the sizable amount of debris on the road.
Efforts to tidy the area are ongoing, with local residents and commuters hoping for a swift resolution to the situation.
