Police in New South Wales have made an urgent appeal for fresh information regarding the unsolved murders of two women, Susan Kay, 32, and Joanne Teterin, 37, who were discovered dead in their Carrington home on May 17, 2000. Despite a thorough investigation being launched at the time, no arrests or charges have been made in the case over the past 25 years.

In 2003, a coronial inquest into their deaths was conducted, leading to the case being referred to the state’s unsolved crime homicide team. As the 25th anniversary of this tragic event approaches, authorities are now revisiting the case under the direction of Strike Force Raphoe II and are actively seeking additional information that could aid in solving the murders.

Detective Superintendent Joe Doueihi, commander of the Homicide Squad, expressed commitment to reviewing the original case files and pursuing new investigative leads. He acknowledged the brutality of the crime, highlighting the ongoing quest for justice for the victims’ families. “We remain determined to find those responsible and appeal to anyone who may have relevant details, no matter how trivial they may seem,” he stated.

The police are urging anyone with any information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000. The families of Susan and Joanne continue to seek the answers they deserve, and the hope remains that new leads can shed light on this long-standing case.
