The Director of Public Prosecutions has launched an official appeal against the sentence given to Kristian White, who received a two-year community corrections order instead of a jail term last month. White was convicted of manslaughter for the tragic death of 95-year-old Clare Nowland, whom he fatally tasered at her aged care facility in 2023. The appeal is set to be heard in court next Thursday, April 17.
