Five Guys, the popular American burger chain, is set to debut its fifth location in Australia, targeting daily commuters in the Sydney Metro area. The new restaurant will welcome customers for the first time at 11am AEDT today at Martin Place Metro station, adding to its existing outlets in Sydney on George Street and Mulgoa Road in Penrith.

Melbourne is home to the other two Australian Five Guys restaurants, located at QV in the CBD and on Freshwater Place in Southbank. Since the opening of its first Aussie store in 2021, Five Guys has quickly become a local favourite.

Founded in Washington, DC in 1986 by the Murrell family, the Five Guys menu has seen little change in nearly four decades. One of the chain’s standout features is its extensive range of burger toppings, which are included in the price of basic hamburgers and cheeseburgers, allowing customers to tailor their meals to their liking. Popular toppings include grilled mushrooms and jalapenos.

Globally, Five Guys operates over 1,800 stores across multiple countries, including the UK, Ireland, and several in the Middle East, demonstrating its widespread appeal. With its focus on fresh ingredients and customisation, Five Guys is well-poised to further grow its presence in the Australian market.
