Brisbane police have issued a renewed appeal for information regarding a shooting incident that has led to the arrest of a 17-year-old girl, who faces attempted murder charges. The girl, identified as a resident of Windsor, was taken into custody the day following the incident and has also been charged with possession of dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of weapons, and possessing explosives without authority. She appeared at Ipswich Children’s Court on March 25.
The victim, a 40-year-old man, was critically injured and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where he is reportedly in a serious but stable condition. Additionally, the man has been charged with drug possession, possession of instruments used in the crime, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on May 16.
Police are actively searching for two other male suspects linked to the case. The first suspect, depicted wearing a white t-shirt, is described as approximately 180 cm tall, of Pacific Islander descent, with short black hair and brown eyes. He has distinctive neck and facial tattoos, including a crown above one eyebrow and various designs across his cheeks and nose.
The second suspect, wearing a black t-shirt, is described as around 165 cm tall, of solid build, with short or shaved brown hair and brown eyes. His arms, neck, and right leg are heavily tattooed, featuring a prominent cross on the front of his neck. Authorities last believe both individuals were seen in Logan, a suburb located south of Brisbane.
The police are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward to assist in their investigation.
