Authorities in Melbourne are currently examining the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in her 60s from Noble Park. Her disappearance was reported by a neighbour last week on Saturday, June 14, after the neighbour hadn’t seen her for a week. It was noted that the last sighting of the woman was on June 7, when she was seen with an unidentified man outside her residence on Marna Court.

Concern prompted the neighbour to alert police after attempts to contact the woman proved unsuccessful. Two days later, on June 16, authorities located her at Dandenong Hospital, where she was being treated for injuries believed to be the result of a serious assault. Victoria Police confirmed they had spoken with her, but unfortunately, she passed away the following evening.

Investigators are still trying to piece together the events that led to her injuries, with detectives from the Homicide Squad assigned to the case. They have classified her death as suspicious. As of now, the woman’s next of kin has not been informed of her passing. Police have questioned a 62-year-old man from Endeavour Hills, who was known to the deceased, but he has since been released as inquiries continue.

Authorities are calling on anyone who may have information related to the case to step forward to assist in their investigation.
