Early this morning, at approximately 6:30am, police were approached by a man suffering from a gunshot wound on Collins Street, according to a spokesperson for Victoria Police. The injured individual, in his twenties, was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
In response to the incident, authorities have set up a crime scene on Collins Street as they continue to investigate the circumstances behind the shooting, which remain unclear at this time. The investigation is actively ongoing.
