Police are investigating a stabbing incident involving a 19-year-old man in Melbourne’s CBD that occurred late last night. Emergency services responded to reports of an injured male at approximately 10.30pm near the intersection of Queen and Franklin streets. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim with multiple stab wounds. He was subsequently transported to the hospital, where his condition was assessed as serious but not life-threatening.
Witnesses reported seeing a man wearing a backpack fleeing the scene towards Elizabeth Street; however, extensive searches did not locate him. A crime scene has been established, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
