Police apprehend man accused of directing a torch at an aircraft from his front garden

Authorities responded to a residence in Salisbury following a pilot’s report of visibility concerns caused by a light source. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a man allegedly aiming a torch at an aircraft from his front yard. A subsequent search of the property uncovered a powerful torch along with a taser. The man was taken into custody and faces charges for interfering with an aircraft and possessing a dangerous item. He has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear before the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on May 16.
