Emergency services responded to a plane crash at an airstrip in White Cliffs, located approximately 260 kilometres from Broken Hill, around 7:15 AM. Tragically, the body of the male pilot was found at the crash site.

Authorities including police, NSW Ambulance, Fire and Rescue NSW, the NSW Rural Fire Service, and the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) attended the scene. Currently, the identity of the pilot has not been officially confirmed; however, investigators believe he was the only person on board at the time of the incident.

A crime scene has been established for further examination, and a formal investigation is being conducted in collaboration with the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB). A report will be compiled for the coroner to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
