Moss had stepped away from ESPN in early December following surgery for a cancerous mass located in his bile duct, nestled between his pancreas and liver. He underwent a stent placement surgery over Thanksgiving and later faced a six-hour operation to remove the cancer. Following these procedures, he is set to receive radiation and chemotherapy as part of his recovery process.
As one of the greatest receivers in NFL history, Moss holds impressive statistics, ranking second all-time with 156 touchdown receptions and fourth with 15,292 receiving yards. He also set a remarkable NFL record in 2007, scoring 23 touchdown catches in a single season with the New England Patriots.
