Passengers experienced a significant setback at Sydney Airport when an aerobridge collided with a Qantas Airbus A380, causing a 21-hour delay. The incident occurred as the aircraft was preparing for its flight to Johannesburg (QF63). Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but all passengers were required to disembark the plane.

Due to the damage, passengers will not be able to resume their journey until 6:45 am on Sunday, as they are waiting for a replacement aircraft. In response to the situation, Qantas has expressed its apologies and is currently investigating the incident. The airline assured affected customers that they would be provided with accommodation and transportation during the delay.

Additionally, Qantas stated that engineers would conduct a thorough inspection of the damaged aircraft in Sydney, with repairs planned before the plane is returned to service.
