A chaotic incident occurred on the Gold Coast yesterday afternoon, resulting in the arrest of a man. It reportedly began when a white Nissan Navara rammed a black Audi around 4:15 PM on Golden Four Drive at Tugun, causing the Audi to collide with the median strip. Following the crash, all drivers and passengers involved fled the scene.
Witnesses noted that the Nissan continued along O’Connor Street before the driver exited the vehicle and escaped on foot. Meanwhile, a male passenger from the Audi also attempted to flee but was pursued by an unidentified man from a separate vehicle. The female driver of the Audi likewise absconded from the area.
Authorities responded swiftly, apprehending a 28-year-old man at the site. He was charged with possession of drug utensils, though it remains unclear how he is linked to the crash. Reports suggest that a fourth vehicle might have been involved, adding to the complexity of the incident.
The police are actively investigating the matter and are appealing to the public for any dash camera footage that might shed light on the events that transpired.
