Emergency services responded to an incident on Polich Road in Mena Creek, located to the south-west of Innisfail, at approximately 5.40pm yesterday evening. Upon their arrival, they discovered a man from Utchee Creek who had sustained severe injuries to his legs.

According to a spokesperson from Queensland Ambulance, the injuries were a result of the man falling approximately 20 metres while operating a motorised parachute. Unfortunately, despite being transported to Cairns Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries during the journey.
