A delivery driver was caught on a doorbell camera allegedly stealing a customer’s order after dropping it off. Reece, the customer, received a notification on his phone at 9:30 PM that his groceries had been delivered. However, when he checked his front step, he found nothing there.

Curious about the missing order, Reece reviewed the footage from his security camera. To his dismay, he saw the driver dropping the groceries briefly before taking a photo to confirm delivery. Shockingly, the driver then picked up the bags again and placed them in a compartment on his scooter before driving away, leaving Reece without his order.

In a conversation with 2GB Radio, Reece recounted how the incident unfolded and referred to the driver as the “nappy bandit” due to the items he was delivering. After witnessing the theft, Reece contacted Uber to request a refund, providing the video evidence of the incident. Unfortunately, he expressed his disappointment with the company’s response, stating they refused to take responsibility or issue a refund, even after viewing the footage.

Reece mentioned feeling let down by Uber’s lack of accountability and their refusal to apologise for the troubling experience. Given the circumstances, he was compelled to report the theft to the police, feeling it should have been addressed by Uber directly.
